Worldwide Capacity Plus Network (WWCPN) is a global amateur radio network founded in 2026 that connects Capacity Plus-capable repeaters and MMDVM hotspots into a single unified digital voice system. The network is designed to extend the reach of DMR communications beyond local coverage, allowing operators to communicate seamlessly across regions and countries using compatible equipment and standard Capacity Plus operation.
WWCPN links together participating repeaters and hotspots through a shared infrastructure that routes digital voice traffic between connected sites. Operators can access the network using a properly configured DMR radio, whether they are connecting through a local repeater or a personal MMDVM hotspot at home. The system is built to remain flexible and scalable, supporting both individual users and larger repeater systems as the network grows.
The goal of WWCPN is to provide a reliable and accessible worldwide platform for amateur radio operators who are interested in Capacity Plus technology and digital communications. It encourages experimentation, learning, and collaboration while maintaining stable interconnectivity between all participating nodes.
WWCPN continues to expand as more repeaters, hotspots, and operators join the system, creating an ever-growing worldwide community of digital radio enthusiasts connected through modern DMR infrastructure.
Currently MMVDVM hotspots don't non-standard trunking systems, like Capacity Plus. We are working to develop a Capacity Plus hotspot. We are also going to extend to conventional DMR, which is supported by hotspots. Some talkgroups use basic privacy, and all talkgroups use Restricted Access to System (RAS).
